Troubleshoot Your Chromebook

Chromebook!

If you are having issues with your Chromebook…

1)  Always try turning it off and turning it back on:)

2) If that doesn’t help, try a REFRESH - Hold down the refresh key(top row looks like a circle with an arrow on the end)  and the power button for 15 seconds. Then turn on the device again.
  • The “Refresh” button is above the 4 key - a circular arrow.

3)  If that doesn’t help, try checking for updates:
  1. Turn on your Chromebook. Make sure it is plugged in.
  2. At the bottom right, select the time.
  3. Select Settings .
  4. At the bottom of the left panel, select About Chrome OS.
  5. Under "Google Chrome OS," you'll find which version of the Chrome operating system your Chromebook uses.
  6. Select Check for updates.
  7. If your Chromebook finds a software update, it will start to download automatically.
  8. Re-start your Chromebook afterwards.
